Jetset Willy Online is a remake of the classic game, only this version you can play with all your mates online over the Internet no less.
There’s a number of multiplayer game styles and you can even play with your Willy by yourself if you want.
Jet Set Willy is a computer game originally written for the ZX Spectrum home computer. It was published in 1984 by Software Projects and ported to most home computers of the time. In 2007 Ovine, with several friends from the Retro Remakes scene, made a version of Jet Set Willy with multiplayer support. Instead of just wandering around on your lonesome, you can challenge your friends or complete strangers in one of the many game modes available.
Grab the game from the download link above and head over to the Jet Set Willy Online website to see who’s playing right now.

What happened to JSW3. Is it forever cancelled?
Even the ovine forums, where a JSW beta test forum resided, seem to have been wiped! (http://forum.ovine.net doesn’t work anymore).
Any kind of news would be appreciated!
The forums were moved to a new home (see the menu bar) but as we moved to new software the posts were not moved. I’m sure Stu will be along to answer questions on v3.
I released it to a few willing Beta guys – Ive heard nothing back off them – so Id say its in limbo.
Shame cos 3.1 is so much nicer
I replied with comments about the beta ages ago (gotta be over a year now!)
As Fragile told you, we already replied you a lot of time ago. Please don’t blame on us the huge delay/cancelation of the game.
So not releasing any version for more than FOUR YEARS, almost five (last version is from 2007 and we’re in 2012 already!) is our fault for not giving you enough feedback? Really?!
What do you need to finish this off? Please, at least release publicly what has been done if you don’t plan to continue anytime soon.
hi
Such hostility…. Im sorry if you thought it was directed at you. my past comments were not solely aimed at the beta testers more an empathy from myself on my inability to get excited about the project.
Time permitting I’ll see if I can resurrect the project this year.
Sorry if I sounded a little harsh. I know these are projects made out of the little free time one might have, so I usually don’t have a problem with big delays. But you insinuated it’s in limbo because you heard nothing back from us (and we really did get back with comments). Maybe you didn’t mean that, but I don’t see much possible misunderstanding of the sentence “I released it to a few willing Beta guys – Ive heard nothing back off them – so Id say its in limbo”.
Well, after nearly all people have lost interest in this project because of the long wait, there’s not much hurry in finishing it, but I hope we can see this resurrected at one point. If you need more feedback, just ask.
hi all,can please someoen explain why i can’t join anybody games?everytime i connect to a server.i get the two little monitors on the bottom right connecting..and that’s it,it goes on for hours
Try to delete ip.txt file, then re-type your name and re-select sprite in game and then connect.
Review – Jet Set Willy Online « Gaming Theory
JSW online was great fun. It’s a real shame the new version never got released.
Haha, it’s been too long now!
Any chance of 3.1 being available for download?
I wish more people would appreciate classic games like these…
I doubt it now.
lack of time and enthusiasm…..
I agree it is a shame I put alot into 3.1, I haven’t heard a thing from the rest of the ‘team’ on the subject either.
Awww, that is a shame….
Is there any chance I could grab a copy of the Beta then?
I’d love for 3.1 to finally get some sort of release someday….
Maybe I could post here (or in the forums?) whether or not I encounter any bugs etc.?
I’m sure there’s a few others (OMA and Fragile?) who would be willing to do the same!
